YMCA CAMP LOOWIT CAMPFIRE SONGS

Bob Rosi would dress up in a strange costume, he would have on a mop-head wig and strange, colorful robes, a gold crown, and a giant three-pronged fork. Camp staff would push him around the mess hall on some kind of wheeled cart during dinner one night and everyone who had already been through it would sing this song:

We are, we are, we are, we are, the Order of the Fork!
We are, we are, we are, we are, the Order of the Fork!
And each and every one of us
can eat more than the rest of us
We are, we are, we are, we are, the Order of the Fork!

If I remember right, first-year campers would get a three-pronged fork drawn on their forehead with red lipstick. They would have to keep it there for 24 hours, or three days, or something before they could take it off!

As part of order of the fork during the initial ceremony, elder members of the order put salt and pepper on neophites tongues as they held them out. They had to hold them out for up to 10 min as they were told the laws by which members lived and served. Then they were told to swallow.
